BIOGRAPHY

Powerful and creative by nature, Raul Corredor begins in the flamenco guitar studying with his father, the jazz pianist and singer Pepe Corredor. After researching for years the world of self-taught guitar he ends up moving to Granada in 2002, where he studied with Jorge Gomez, Emilio Maya and accompanies singers and dancers in the school of Antonio Gomez "El Colorao" and "Luis de Luis "among others. He participate for two years in the International Guitar Festival of Cordoba, studying with Raimundo Amador and Manolo Sanlucar. Also interested in jazz, he study in two schools in Granada, La Zubia and Huetor Vega, with the saxophonist Paul Stocker and the guitarist Joaquín Chacón.

He has performed at festivals such as "La voix de la Mediterraneé " in Montpellier, the Young Flamenco Festival or Olvera, the World Prague Dance Festival and has toured in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany and Czech Republic.

Currently based in Brussels, he teaches flamenco guitar in La Tentation and Jazz Studio (Antwerp). Besides being programming director at La Tentation Flamenconnection cycle, working on several projects with musicians such as Fred Becker and Rui Salgado, and with the directors and filmmakers Anna Romano and Alix Aminian.
